My husband and I were greatly disappointed with the quality of this product. I can’t imagine this ever happening but wouldn't you want to know what to do in case that were the only scenario you were left with? I, at least, want some armor to fight with and this is it. So buy this book if you are interested in the mathematical theory and ideas behind numerical analysis. Nonetheless this book can be read in the context, not only of machine tools but also of computerization in general.
Noble's book is an account of management folly. That was Bob Hunter. Go crazy! Try something new!
