A Comanche boy sits beside his grandmother on a hilltop in Oklahoma. As the old woman gazes across the valley below, she remembers the lost world of her youth and the greatest gift of the Great Spirit--the buffalo. Like other children of his generation, the Comanche boy on the hilltop has never set eyes on a buffalo. The great herds that once stretched to the far corners of the sky have vanished from the plains. After years of slaughter, the buffalo live only in the memory of the tribe's elders. But on this October morning in 1907, the boy will see with his eyes what he had previously seen only in his imagination. This special book commemorates the dream of saving a significant part of North America's heritage and native peoples' culture. From the archives of the Wildlife Conservation Society, Neil Waldman has created a work that is both poignant and inspiring.

Throughout, the grandmother recounts to her grandson the glory days of the buffalo and their sad demise at the hands of white settlers. Waldman tracks the herd's progress as it crosses the country, d

I was blessed to be a part of the pilot group that started before the book was written. The world market for vender CNC - CNC produced to be sold to machine tool builders - is an oligopoly of two, Siemens of Germany and Fanuc of Japan. But the more I read in depth, the more I learned. Wonderful book. Physiological, sociocultural and psychological theories of etiology were discussed, as well as the relevance of etiology for treatment and prevention. That's business as usual for practically every government on the planet; welcome to Obama Nation.
Of course, we know that sort of policy is not the proper solution to problems of finacial difficulties; however, it's the most expedient, and therefor
