Susan is very gifted. Lisa Simmons does a great job in conveying this - not in any specific sentence, or paragraph, or any one incident – but in the totality of the writing.
So, even though a biography an autobiography/memoir are mutually exclusive terms, in this case, it is an accurate categorization. As such, the prose comes across as somewhat dated, yet retains a lively and frenetic feel. According to the butterfly effect, the flapping of a butterfly's wings in China can ultimately result in a tornado in North America. The material they worship is not the stuff they collect or the regimen they follow; the material of worship to the materialist is the image seen reflected in the mirror. That persevering vessel would be renamed en route as the Greenpeace as it continued the desperate and ultimately futile voyage.
