Nobody's going to replace their specialized space combat system with this rule-set but that's fine because the emphasis here is solely on improving the roleplaying experience and I'd say that it succeeded admirably in that regard.
Why the 4 star rating? There just isn't enough content here to fully justify the cost.
As another reviewer commented, this is essentially a POD (print on demand (as known as vanity press)) book and that drives up costs but Evil Stevie has overcome that obstacle before in creative ways.
If nothing else, they could have reprinted some of the wonderful material provided in 3rd edition GURPS Space on different types of ships and their requirements and I would have gladly given them yet another 5 star rating.. Now we can purchase the equipment we need and not just what the vendors will sell (big difference!). A breezy read, with no h
